About Recast Capital
Recast Capital is a 100% women-owned venture capital platform that invests in and supports top-tier next generation fund managers, with a focus on diverse partnerships. The platform was founded in 2020 by seasoned, institutionally trained fund investors Courtney McCrea (10 years at Weathergage Capital and former growth equity GP) and Sara Zulkosky (former Greenspring Associates, family office investor, and start-up operator), and built to drive returns and create change in the venture industry.
The core of the platform is a fund investment strategy. Recast leverages its deep network and exceptional track record to provide its limited partners with diversified exposure to top-performing next generation managers, as well as access to a pipeline of future industry-leading franchises. Its venture capital fund-of-funds emphasize diversified exposure across sectors, stages, vintage years, fund iterations (I-III), and manager profiles.
As a powerful complement to its fund investment strategy, Recast also operates Accelerate, a philanthropic program to provide learning and development opportunities and community for underrepresented next generation managers in venture, allowing Recast to support more of the community than just those it can invest in. The program also provides meaningful differentiation for Recast’s investment products, providing the team a unique information advantage on high-potential emerging managers in market, opportunity to build deeper relationships with the community and build the firm’s reputation in market. The platform has supported over 150 managers to date. Learn more about Recast at: https://recastcapital.com/.
Role Description:
Recast Capital is seeking a Program Manager to support the expansion of its Accelerate programming into Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) — while contributing as an integrated member of the broader Program team. This is a unique opportunity to help support a nascent venture ecosystem, shape culturally relevant curriculum, and play a meaningful role in advancing the next generation of venture managers across the industry.
The ideal candidate brings 5-7 years of relevant experience with ties to — or a demonstrated ability to build within — the venture, accelerator, or entrepreneurship ecosystem in LAC. Experience in venture capital or adjacent ecosystems is a strong plus, though not required. What matters most is genuine curiosity about the space, strong relationship instincts, and the drive to navigate opaque environments and create structure where needed.
This person is an independent, resourceful self-starter and will be comfortable owning workstreams end-to-end, proactively identifying opportunities, and collaborating closely with the Vice President and broader team. They will work directly with the cohort of managers accepted into our programs — serving as a key point of contact and community connector throughout the program experience.
This role is structured as a contractor engagement (with the potential to evolve to a full-time employee) and reports to the Vice President.
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
LAC Programming & Ecosystem Development
- Support creation and execution of the Accelerate program offering for LAC participants, including culturally relevant adaptations to curriculum and programming, working closely with the Vice President
- Lead LAC-based partnership development — whether with service providers, sponsors, or potential grant donors — working closely with the Director
- Conduct ecosystem research and GP conversations (LAC and U.S.-based) to surface insights and inform program design
Cohort & Program Support
- Support the application process and selection of managers for the Accelerate cohort
- Contribute to virtual programming across the Accelerate cohort — including sourcing and vetting speakers, developing content and curriculum, and supporting end-to-end execution — ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for participants
- Serve as a point of contact for program participants throughout the cohort experience, fostering a strong sense of community and ensuring the highest quality manager experience
External Engagement
- Support the creation and execution of one- to multi-day bootcamp offerings for LAC participants (virtual and in-person), working closely with the Vice President and outside event lead
- Map and engage key LPs, allocators, and ecosystem stakeholders across LAC — partnering with the Vice President to build a regional investor community and expand Recast’s presence in the market
- Support the creation of LAC LP educational series, working closely with the founders
Additional Projects
- Support funder reporting efforts for Recast partnerships, working closely with the Director and senior leadership
- On a small team, we regularly support one another across business units and fill gaps as they arise. Approximately 5–10% of this role will be a space to proactively step up and contribute to other areas as needs evolve.
